Moulin des Grais

The Théâtre du voyage intérieur company (Léa Dant) works in Verrières-le-Buisson, at the Moulin des Grais housing estate, a group of six buildings. Five have been extensively renovated; building 6 is due to be demolished. Emmaüs Habitat, which manages the buildings, asked Des ricochets to accompany this demolition artistically. From December 2021 to summer 2023, the company spent several weeks in residence meeting residents and imagining a piece to celebrate the site’s transformation.

In October 2022, a three-day residency with the residents was used to record testimonies — the material for a sound piece performed live at the June 2023 show.
