The show conjures up the figures of women the actress met and interviewed. Moving from documentary to intimate theatre, it tells the small, ordinary and deeply moving stories of anonymous people and lets them resonate with one another. Courage and joy, grief, abuse, motherhood, the fear of ageing, love, resistance… lives. Summoned by a narrator, the heroines gradually take shape, speak and leave their mark — until she disappears, or perhaps is reborn.
